Although, our previous mattress was still in great condition, once laying down to sleep on this Sterns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillow Top Mattress, paired with the Flat Foundation 5", we knew immediately we had made the best decision to ensure that great nights sleep. Very comfortable from the start, in all areas of the mattress. Pricey decision, yes, but to wake up refreshed and rested, that is priceless. LOL … plus upgrading size from a queen to a king, our pups enjoy the extra space, making the entire family happy.

I heard sterns and foster mattresses were top of the line.
My old matress left me with a sore back every morning when I woke up.

An impressive upgrade from my last mattress. The Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop Mattress was described perfectly on their website. So accurate, I actually bought this without even testing it out in person! Not something I usually do. 3 weeks later, zero complaints!
I sleep so much better and the sleep is solid throughout the night.
I sleep on my side mostly and my arm isn't sore or "dead" when I wake up.
Helped a lot with my back pain.
My partner and I don't wake each other by moving around anymore.
Delivery was on schedule and thorough.
Certainly not negatives, but....
It did take a week or two to "break in" the mattress.
I will have to buy a little deeper sheets. 14"-15" I believe.

My husband and I are now sleeping much more comfortably. My husband has shoulder problems, and I have back problems. We have not experienced any discomfort with our new firm pillow top mattress. As someone with long years of insomnia I am more than happy to share that my new S&F mattress has helped me fall and stay asleep. It wasn't a miracle solution but it helped. The soft top layer over the firmness below is notably more comfortable than the three or four equally priced mattresses I have previously owned. I'm grateful the the NYT Wirecutter column's top rating made me give it a try, that the company's liberal return policy made me feel like I had options, and not to sound too much like a paid advertisement (which this is not), the delivery service was exactly what you want delivery to be…they kept me informed and arrived on time.

Repeat Stearns and Foster customer. Loved our first mattress as it offered the right balance of support and softness however wouldn't classify this pillowtop soft as soft at all. Hopeful that we just need a little longer in our adjustment period.

I have slept on these mattresses for over 20 years. They are very comfortable except after about seven or eight years they begin to sag in the places where you sleep which I don't believe they should do. Extremely expensive mattress.

We had two tempur-pedic mattresses previously. The first one we had for almost 20yrs and loved it. We bought another one and only had it for 3-4 yrs, but constantly were hot at night. So reading reviews we turned to Stearns and Fosters based on the reviews. We have had the bed for a month, and don't wake up as hot anymore. However we purchased a medium firmness and it feels like a firm.

After 12+ years we were ready for a new mattress. In our advanced years, we recognized this would probably be our last mattress. The salesman left it to us to decide what was right for us. After we got it down to the last two in consideration, we were more focused on comfort and support. Cost did not come into our decision, and we determined for ourselves that quality of product relates to comfort. This is a mattress which offers comfort for a great nights sleep. After back surgery and hip surgery I can't say enough about this mattress.

My wife and I first tried this mattress at a hotel on vacation and slept so well we knew we had to have it for our home. We were delighted when the hostess provided the exact details of the mattress. This mattress is firm, yet soft and supportive. We both struggle with back pain and I can honestly say that sleeping on the Stearns and Foster mattresses has provided us with much needed support and better sleep.
One note: we got the tight top firm, next time we'd buy with the pillow top for a little extra cushion. We still love our mattress!

After 25 years of incredible comfprt, I finally decided it was time to replace my beloved Stearns & Foster mattress. The support, durability, and luxurious feel are unmatched and no other mattress could provide the same level of restfulness. So, after a few failed attempst with other brands. This is our second S & F mattress. After 13 years we just replaced the first. The pillow top is luxurious while providing great support for us side and back sleepers with very little movement transfer between two sleepers. It is extremely heavy but delivery was fast and efficient. It's only been a month but thus far we're very pleased with our Lux Estate Medium PT purchase.

***DO NOT BUY**** Maybe had a few weeks with this mattress, then it started to sink in the middle really bad right after the trial time expired. I weigh 150lb and my wife is 125ibs. DO NOT BUY!!! For the warranty they want you to basically send in numerous photos and other frivolous things including your bed frame to try to blame you for the defective mattress. Don't waste your money on this. Previously I had a sterns and foster that lasted 15 years and would still be better then this new mattress I recently purchased.
Customer service didn't really care one way or the other, so I will be buying another brand and letting people know to stay away from sterns and foster.
I can deal with losing out on my purchase price in exchange for warning others about this overpriced and underperforming mattress.

In May of 2024 I bought the estate firm Queen mattress . Now in Dec.2024 It has been replaced two times due to sagging and I am now on my third on and it is also sagging. What is the answer to this problem. They are too pricy to have this kind of trouble.
